Students will learn preliminary ‘Pranayama’ (breathing) and ‘Asana’ positions to align the body and boost well-being.
Hatha Yoga improves physical and mental health, flexibility and balance. The practice reduces stress and increases life energy by working on the subtle bodies. More information on the benefits of the Pranayama and the Asana will be provided during the course.
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring your own blanket. Hatha Yoga should be practiced on an empty stomach. Please inform the teacher if you are pregnant or on your period.
Upon request, the course can be translated in English and French.
Luisa Haller, Italian, is passionate about Asian culture and spirituality. Luisa lived in India for 23 years, where she had the opportunity to meet several masters of the Indian and Tibetan tradition. Among these, she has been following Lama Gangchen Rinpoche since 1986. Luisa started studying and practicing Hatha Yoga in 1970 with Patrian in Milan and in 1986 moved to Rishikesh, India, where she attended yoga and pranayama courses at the Sivananda ashram. In 1991 Luisa met B.K.S. Iyengar – founder of the ‘Yiengar Yoga Method’- and kept visiting his institute in Pune on a regular basis.
