Vesak is the most important of Buddhist festivals in which celebrates the Conception, Enlightenment and Parinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni. It has been recognised as a day of world importance by the United Nations for the message of universal peace and joy which for centuries Vesak has transmitted to humanity.
This year we will be celebrating with the Buddha Shakyamuni Empowerment conferred by Lama Gangchen Rinpoche, teachings from Lama Michel Rinpoche and Lama Carolineand the Insight Dialogue guided by Ven. Anuruddha Thero Karuwelagaswewa.
Insight Dialogue (ID) is an interpersonal meditation practice. Based in Vipassana meditation, it brings the mindfulness and tranquility of traditional silent meditation practice into our interactions with others through dialogue. Ultimately, this allows us to perceive and understand things that are normally overlooked in the busyness of life, and to be more accepting of ourselves and others as they are.
The retreat will be held in noble silence, except in the dialogues and group sharings.
